The second session of the seventh term of the University of Kurdistan's Promotion Committee was held on Wednesday, October 1st. During this meeting, in addition to reviewing faculty promotion cases, the internal regulations for promotion and the guidelines for evaluating artistic works were discussed and decided upon.

Faculty Promotion and Revision of Regulations: Focus of the Second Session of the University of Kurdistan's Seventh Term Promotion Committee

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the second session of the seventh term of the university's Promotion Committee was held on October 1st with a comprehensive and important agenda.

The following key regulatory and policy matters were addressed during the session:

  1. Review and Approval of Internal Faculty Promotion Regulations: The guidelines for the promotion of faculty members at the University of Kurdistan were revised and approved to enhance transparency and update procedures.

  2. Review and Approval of Guidelines for Scoring Original Artistic Works: The guidelines for scoring original and valuable artistic works for faculty members in the departments of Handicrafts and Music were reviewed and approved.

  3. Review of Incentive-Based Promotion Regulations: Several items from the regulations concerning incentive-based promotions were reviewed, and the granting of merit-based steps to a number of faculty members was approved.

  4. Review of Promotion Cases: A portion of the session was dedicated to reviewing cases for promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. The promotions of the following two faculty members were approved:

    • Dr. Iqbal Ali Mirzaei (Department of Law)

    • Dr. Parviz Karami (Department of Rangeland and Watershed Management)
