According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, a meeting of the provincial Education, Research, Technology, and Innovation Working Group was held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, hosted by the university. The session was attended by representatives from the Management and Planning Organization, universities, and various executive bodies.
At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Adel Si-o-Se-Marde, President of the University of Kurdistan, emphasized the importance of the province's scientific development and called for the formulation of a strategic plan to foster synergy and elevate the region's standing in knowledge-based fields.
Introduction of Two Key Systems for Synergy
Subsequently, Mr. Firooz Aghabayi, Deputy Head of the Working Group, presented a report on previous resolutions and announced the launch of the "Provincial Research System." This system is designed to register, manage, and synergize research projects across the province, providing a platform for constructive interaction between researchers and executive institutions.
Furthermore, Dr. Bahman Bahramnejad, the university's Vice President for Research and Innovation and Deputy Secretary of the Working Group, announced the launch of the "Working Group's Information Website." He stated that its purpose is to ensure transparency and the continuous communication of perspectives and resolutions to the province's academic and executive communities.
Emphasis on the Working Group's Role in Solving Provincial Issues
Dr. Akbar Mohammadi, Head of the Provincial Management and Planning Organization and Chairman of the Working Group, highlighted the body's key role in scientific policymaking and called for an expansion of its activities. "This working group must engage with the current issues of the province in a specialized manner and play a role in resolving existing challenges by providing scientific and practical solutions," he stressed.
The meeting was held to strengthen the link between academic and executive institutions and to enhance the level of planning in the fields of education, research, and innovation. It was resolved that the necessary executive actions to achieve the working group's objectives would be pursued with diligence.
