According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the ceremony was attended by provincial and university officials, where speakers underscored the unique position of the University of Kurdistan in both cultural and academic spheres.
University of Kurdistan: Ranked 8th Nationally and a Unique Symbol of Coexistence
Dr. Adel Si-o-seh-mordeh, President of the University of Kurdistan, described the Representative's Office as "a bridge between the university's academic space and societal values," adding, "This institution has successfully forged a profound link between spirituality and the academic environment." Commending the performance of Hojjatoleslam Hatami, he noted, "With a keen understanding of the province's specific cultural and religious nuances, he succeeded in strengthening the atmosphere of empathy and dialogue at the university."
The University President stated that the institution is one of the most diverse in the country in terms of linguistic, ethnic, and cultural variety. "The presence of the officials from the Representative's Office has always contributed to deepening mutual understanding and respect, and we hope this path continues with even greater energy under Hojjatoleslam Rostami," he said.
Dr. Si-o-seh-mordeh also announced a major scientific achievement: "According to the latest QS Asia University Rankings 2026, the University of Kurdistan has achieved the 8th rank among the nation's comprehensive universities and 17th overall, a remarkable position resulting from the collective efforts of our entire university family."

Ali Akbar Varmeghani, the Deputy Governor for Political and Security Affairs, remarked, "The position of the Representative's Office in universities is highly sensitive and elevated due to its engagement with an aware, inquisitive, and demanding community." He added, "The student population requires reasoned and persuasive answers, and this office can serve as a point of balance between the academic and cultural spheres of the university, providing a foundation for nurturing a capable generation."

In another part of the ceremony, Hojjatoleslam Habib Hatami emphasized his unifying mission, stating, "We came to unite, not to divide." Praising the academic standing of the university's professors, he added, "The intellectual capital of this province is unparalleled. Each faculty member at Kurdistan's universities is as valuable as a diamond, and honoring them is a perpetual duty." He described the University of Kurdistan as a pivotal and influential institution for the entire province, asserting, "The people of Kurdistan are profoundly influenced by its academic culture, a characteristic that has rightfully made this province the most cultural in the country."
