According to the latest evaluation by the QS ranking system for Asian universities in 2026, forty-eight universities from Iran have been included among the top one thousand five hundred and twenty-nine higher education institutions on the continent.

In this assessment, the University of Kurdistan secured the 522nd position in Asia and the 139th rank among universities in the Southern Asia region.
Furthermore, the university achieved the 17th rank nationally and the 8th position among comprehensive universities, placing it ahead of esteemed neighboring institutions such as Bu-Ali Sina University of Hamedan, Razi University of Kermanshah, and major universities like Kharazmi and Allameh Tabataba'i.

The methodology employed for this ranking is consistent with the global QS approach, based on eleven indicators across the domains of education, research and technology, and international relations.
This valuable achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the university's students, faculty, and staff.
