A morning walking event was held at the University of Kurdistan to commemorate the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr on the 3rd of Khordad.

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the morning walking event, held on Sunday, June 2, 2026 (3rd of Khordad, 1405), not only marked the 44th anniversary of the epic liberation of Khorramshahr but also honored the memory of the sacrifices and heroic deeds of the martyrs, veterans, and anonymous commanders.

The ceremony was attended by a group of the University of Kurdistan community. Participants paid their respects and offered flowers at the holy shrine of the anonymous martyrs located next to the university mosque. By walking through the university campus, they once again renewed their allegiance to the ideals of the martyrs.

Other programs of the ceremony included a speech by Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Abedin Rostami, the head of the Representative Office of the Supreme Leader in the universities of Kurdistan Province, and the awarding of gift cards by lottery.
