Faculty Objectives

​​​​​​​1. Educational Objectives

    *   To educate students at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels in accordance with the highest scientific standards.
    *   To provide theoretical and practical instruction that is aligned with the latest global advancements in the basic sciences.
    *   To strengthen the scientific foundation of students, preparing them for postgraduate studies and for entry into the research, educational, and industrial sectors of the workforce.
    *   To cultivate creativity and critical thinking among the student body.

2. Research Objectives

    *   To expand the frontiers of knowledge by conducting fundamental, applied, and developmental research across the various disciplines of basic sciences.
    *   To establish and fortify active research groups to address scientific and national challenges.
    *   To disseminate research findings through publication in reputable international journals and presentation at leading scientific conferences.
    *   To establish robust connections with industry to facilitate the application of research and to solve pressing issues within society and for regional and national industries.

3. Cultural and Social Objectives

    *   To create a conducive environment for the cultivation of scientific ethics and social responsibility among faculty members and students.
    *   To provide specialized scientific and consulting services to the community and to various institutions within Kurdistan province and the nation.
    *   To foster a culture of critical inquiry, constructive interaction, and teamwork within a dynamic and ethical scientific environment.

 

4. Infrastructural and Developmental Objectives

    *   To equip and continuously update specialized laboratories and workshops in support of educational and research activities.
    *   To recruit and retain highly competent and dedicated faculty members.
    *   To develop and expand international relations and collaborations with esteemed universities and scientific centers worldwide.

To become a premier and leading scientific hub in the basic sciences at the national and regional levels, with an emphasis on generating knowledge, advancing technology, and cultivating creative human resources to address the current and future needs of society.

 * The mission of the Faculty of Basic Sciences is centered on the following principles:
