Academic Promotion of Dr. Roshan Khoshnavazi, Esteemed Faculty Member of the Department of Chemistry, from the Rank of Associate Professor to Professor (Full Professor)

Dr. Roshan Khoshnavazi obtained his Bachelor's degree in Pure Chemistry from Razi University, Kermanshah, in 1995 (1374). He then received his Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry in 1997 (1376) and went on to earn his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2003 (1382). In the same year, he joined the Department of Chemistry at the University of Kurdistan as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Khoshnavazi served as the Head of the Chemistry Department from 2005 to 2007 (1384–1386) and was promoted to the academic rank of Associate Professor in 2010 (1389). He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Basic Sciences from 2011 to 2014 (1390–1393) and as the university’s Vice President for Cultural, Social, and Student Affairs from 2016 to 2022 (1395–1401). In 2026 (1405), he was promoted to the rank of Full Professor and is currently engaged in educational and research activities as a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Kurdistan. His primary research interests include the chemistry of polyoxometalates, as well as the synthesis, characterization, and application of nanocomposites in catalysis and photocatalysis.
