Design and Development of a Novel Chiral Catalyst Based on Amphiphilic Carbon Quantum Dots

Researchers have successfully designed and developed a novel chiral catalyst based on amphiphilic carbon quantum dots, which has been applied for the first time in the asymmetric Kharasch–Sosnovsky reaction. By integrating the advantageous features of both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, this catalytic system enables the synthesis of chiral products with high stereoselectivity and excellent recyclability. The findings of this study have been published in the prestigious journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces.
