Based on the latest scientific evaluation by Stanford University, four distinguished faculty members from the Faculty of Basic Sciences at the University of Kurdistan have been named in the prestigious list of the world's top 2% highly cited researchers for the year 1404 (2025).

In this global ranking, Dr. Abdollah Salimi, Dr. Rahman Hallaj, and Dr. Rahmat Sadeghi in the field of Chemistry, alongside the late Professor Dr. Mohammad Reza Setare in the field of Physics, were recognized for their outstanding scientific citations and scholarly impact.
